Hello.

My name is Nina, I’m seventeen and I live in Switzerland. At least I did until I left last summer to do an exchange year. I’m in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, in the Philadelphia suburbs. It’s definately not what I thought it would be. But I didn’t expect it to be. I definately know that the suburbs are not good for me. I need the city, and I need the country. Not the in between stuff.

I love fashion. Not all of it of course, but I like to think that fashion is like art, and I don’t like all art either. Like those kitschy pictures of wolves howling at the moon and unicorns dancing around waterfalls. Makes me want to throw up.

I’m also interested in photography, and of course especially fashion photography. At the moment I’m very into analog photography. It’s the whole process that’s important really. And I like the mistakes that often happen, that’s why I’m a big fan of the lomography cameras (trying to get my hands on a Diana+ camera…)

When it comes to music there’s a lot I like to listen to. Right now it’s MGMT, The Wombats, The Ting Tings, The Virgins, Band of Horses, Chester French, Lykke Li, The Teenagers, Hot Chip, Io Echo and The Kills. SOme of my all time favorites are Modest Mouse, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, Yelle, The Killers, Under Byen, Björk, Coldplay, Roisin Murphy, The Kooks, The White Stripes, The Strokes, Damien Rice and The Presets. And Classical Music (Cello Suites Prelude by Bach <3) and Musicals (favs: Chicago, Gypsy).

Other things I like/am obsessed with: NYLON, reading blogs, ebay, thinking, going out, deer, cats, dogs and horses, polaroids, plums, Ryan McGinley and Juergen Teller, flannel, Special K with Strawberries, my cat Lucky, strange things, logic, playing guitar.
